Fortis Healthcare, a leading private healthcare provider in India, has announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, International Hospital (IHL), will operate a hospital in Gautam Buddha Nagar, Greater Noida, under a sub-lease agreement with R.R. Lifesciences. This expansion aligns with Fortis’ strategy to strengthen its presence in the National Capital Region (NCR).

The sub-lease covers the hospital’s land, building, and equipment and has received approval from the Uttar Pradesh State Industrial Development Authority (UPSIDA). A formal tripartite agreement between UPSIDA, R.R. Lifesciences, and IHL will be signed to formalize the arrangement.

The lease is set for 15 years starting 1 September 2025, with a renewal option subject to UPSIDA’s approval. Under the terms, IHL will pay a monthly rent of Rs 2.40 crore plus applicable GST, along with a refundable security deposit of Rs 60 crore.

IHL will assume operational control of the hospital, retaining the existing workforce, contractors, and vendors to ensure a smooth transition and uninterrupted patient care.

This move is part of Fortis’ ongoing efforts to expand its network in key urban centres. It follows the company’s earlier partnership with the Ekana Group in Lucknow, managing a 550-bed greenfield hospital designed as a tertiary care Centre of Excellence. The Greater Noida facility further strengthens Fortis’ commitment to providing quality healthcare in emerging hubs around Delhi-NCR.
