ESIC Medical College & Hospital, Faridabad, officially known as Employees' State Insurance Corporation Medical College and Hospital, Faridabad, has achieved a historic medical milestone by successfully performing Haryana’s first Transvesicoscopic Ureteric Reimplantation on a 7-year-old child suffering from severe kidney reflux, a condition in which urine flows backward from the bladder into the kidneys, increasing the risk of infections and kidney damage.

Established in 2015 under the aegis of the ESI Corporation, a central autonomous body under the Ministry of Labour and Employment, Government of India, ESIC Faridabad is a government co-educational medical institution located in Haryana. Since its inception, the hospital has rapidly developed into a centre for specialised medical care, offering advanced treatments and procedures across multiple disciplines, including paediatric and adult urology, transplant services, and minimally invasive surgeries.

The Transvesicoscopic Ureteric Reimplantation procedure, carried out using an advanced keyhole surgical technique, allowed for minimal pain, faster recovery, and reduced complications compared to conventional open surgery. This complex operation highlights significant progress in paediatric urology, enabling surgeons to treat intricate urinary tract disorders in children using minimally invasive methods.
