
A private hospital in the city has launched a comprehensive, all-in-one center dedicated to the diagnosis and treatment of pancreatic diseases, aiming to streamline care for patients with complex conditions such as acute and chronic pancreatitis, pancreatic cancer, and pancreatic cystic lesions.
The newly established unit, part of the Integrated Centre for Pancreatic Diseases (ICPD) at DPU Super Specialty Hospital, Pimpri, Pune, falls under the Department of Gastroenterology. The center is designed to provide early detection, advanced treatment, and holistic care for a range of pancreatic disorders.
In addition to clinical care, the ICPD will offer specialist consultations and host multidisciplinary board meetings to ensure that complex cases are managed through expert consensus. The team also plans to organize educational programs for patients and their families, emphasizing personalized, informed care throughout the treatment journey.
