Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Sunday announced that the newly inaugurated SSB Multi-Specialty Hospital, located near Kailash Colony Metro Station, will be integrated into the Ayushman Bharat scheme—ensuring affordable and quality healthcare access for all citizens.

Reaffirming her administration’s commitment to revitalizing Delhi’s healthcare infrastructure, Gupta revealed that construction work on 24 new hospitals across the city has commenced on a mission-mode basis.

“These upcoming hospitals will not only serve the people of Delhi but also cater to patients from across India and abroad,” she stated.

The Chief Minister described the SSB hospital as a vital step toward her government’s broader goal of establishing Delhi as a leading healthcare hub. She sharply criticized previous governments for neglecting public healthcare and vowed to expedite the completion of the 24 long-stalled hospital projects.

“Our vision is clear—to make Delhi a medical hub where every individual can access skilled doctors, advanced treatments, affordable healthcare, and top-tier trauma services,” Gupta added.

She also highlighted ongoing efforts to modernize public hospitals with state-of-the-art equipment and medical technologies. Among the new additions are advanced diagnostic tools capable of detecting DNA from a single drop of blood—improving the quality of blood donations and enabling early diagnosis of complex illnesses.
