Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal on Thursday, October 24, 2025, announced a $25 million fund for his initiative, Continue Research, aimed at supporting global researchers and seeding innovative startups. In a post on X, Goyal said the fund is entirely self-financed, reflecting his personal commitment to advancing fundamental biological research.

“Today, we are expanding Continue Research to include a $25 million fund (entirely personally backed) to support researchers across the world who dare to ask simpler questions than anyone else — who believe biology might be far simpler than we’ve made it,” Goyal shared.

Founded two years ago, Continue Research focuses on exploring upstream mechanisms in biology through a systems-based approach, rather than studying biological processes in isolation. According to its website, it is not a company or a startup, but a research collective and seed fund designed to support work that could shape “the next phase of human existence.”

Goyal stated that the project’s ultimate goal is to “extend healthy human function” and encourage humanity to think beyond short-term decisions. He envisions Continue Research as part of a “multi-decadal journey” that contributes to the “conscious evolution” of humankind, aiming to lead humanity into what he calls the Post-Darwin era.

The initiative is also delving into the science of human ageing, an area Goyal describes as “something hiding in plain sight for eternity.” He hinted at upcoming announcements related to a research hypothesis nearing completion — one that could “fundamentally change our understanding of biology and ageing.”

By investing his own capital and fostering independent research, Deepinder Goyal positions Continue Research as a bold step toward rethinking how humanity understands life, ageing, and the biological systems that sustain it.
