Swisslog Healthcare has announced a strategic expansion of its operations in India as part of its broader Asia Pacific growth strategy, aiming to meet the rising demand for advanced pharmacy automation and medication management solutions in the country.

With its India headquarters based in Gurugram, the expansion is expected to bring Swisslog Healthcare’s globally established automation technologies closer to Indian healthcare providers. The move is designed to support hospitals and pharmacies in improving medication accuracy, traceability, patient safety and overall operational efficiency.

The company has been strengthening its presence across the Asia Pacific region, with existing offices in Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand, and the addition of India marking a key milestone in its regional expansion.

In India, Swisslog Healthcare will offer a comprehensive portfolio of pharmacy technologies, including transport automation systems such as TranspoNet pneumatic tube solutions, pharmacy automation platforms including BoxPicker, EvoTec, PillPick, Octave and UniPick, as well as cold-chain management solutions under the Tenutō range.

These solutions are designed to support both inpatient and outpatient care settings and are positioned to address India’s large-scale healthcare delivery needs, diverse patient demographics and rapidly evolving clinical environments. By integrating automation across pharmacy and medication workflows, the technologies aim to help healthcare providers enhance efficiency, strengthen medication safety protocols and deliver consistent, patient-centric care at scale.

India’s expanding hospital network and accelerating healthcare infrastructure development are driving increased demand for automation. As healthcare providers scale capacity and adopt digital systems to manage growing workloads and cost pressures, intelligent pharmacy and transport automation is emerging as a critical component of modern, high-quality care delivery.
