The curtain raiser of the upcoming London thought leadership summit IndiaSetu, under the Global Collaboration Forum (GCF), gathered leaders from healthcare, technology, and academia to spotlight India’s growth and the importance of global partnerships.

Dr. Amit Ghose outlined the framework of IndiaSetu 2025, positioning it as a platform to foster collaborations across healthcare and technology.

Bhaarat Dave, acting British deputy high commissioner for East and Northeast India, emphasised the use of artificial intelligence (AI) in vaccine development and digital healthcare. He highlighted Britain’s role in ensuring “safe ethics” in AI, while India brings scale and workforce efficiency.

A panel discussion on AI in healthcare featured Jaideep Roy, former PwC leader of FS Advisory India, and Swagatham Das, professor at the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata. Roy stressed that IndiaSetu could serve as a global stage for debates on AI’s impact in healthcare, particularly in addressing challenges around data sharing. Das added perspective on AI’s evolution, noting that while it is today’s buzzword, its roots in healthcare innovation go back decades.

The session underscored that IndiaSetu can drive responsible AI adoption in healthcare, bridging ethics, scale, and innovation.
