Larivière et Massicotte, Pharmaciennes inc., a pharmacy established in Quebec for over a decade, has become the first pharmacy outside the United States to receive NCODA’s Center of Excellence Multi-Specialty with Focus in Oncology Medically Integrated Pharmacy Accreditation.

"Our team is proud to be recognized by NCODA as a Center of Excellence," said Christine Larivière, pharmacist and co-owner. "This accreditation reinforces our mission to continuously elevate our oncology and dedicated pharmacy practice and to deepen our collaborative approach with healthcare teams."

This recognition, based on standards from NCODA (Network for Collaborative Oncology Development & Advancement) and ASCO (American Society of Clinical Oncology), highlights the pharmacy’s commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals requiring specialized treatments.

NCODA is a non-profit international organization dedicated to advancing integrated care models in oncology and complex therapies. It promotes excellence in clinical, operational, and collaborative pharmacy practices. Through its Canadian Pharmacy Accreditation Services, NCODA now enables other Canadian pharmacies to pursue this prestigious accreditation.

"Achieving this designation validates the work that the pharmacy Larivière et Massicotte is doing in advancing patient care," said Michael Reff, RPh, MBA, NCODA Executive Director and Founder. "With this being the first NCODA accreditation in Canada, we look forward to collaborating with additional pharmacies committed to our shared mission of ensuring that patients everywhere receive the highest level of care through a model rooted in quality, compassion, and teamwork."

By earning this milestone, Larivière et Massicotte demonstrates its dedication to:

  • Showcasing the value of a specialized, community-based integrated pharmacy care model.

  • Providing structured, rigorous, and compassionate follow-up for patients on complex therapies.

  • Supporting healthcare professionals who face resource constraints in managing specialized treatments.

This achievement strengthens Quebec’s leadership in oncology pharmacy practice while paving the way for other Canadian pharmacies to follow.
