HealthQuad, the healthcare-focused growth venture capital arm of the Quadria Group, has announced the appointment of Namit Chugh as Director. This strategic move is aimed at reinforcing its investment focus in healthtech, medtech, and digitally enabled care models.

With over 15 years of experience in healthcare investing and consulting, Namit brings a wealth of domain expertise. His addition is expected to enhance HealthQuad’s emphasis on deep-tech and technology-led healthcare ventures, in line with its broader vision of nurturing category-defining companies in India’s dynamic healthcare landscape.

Before joining HealthQuad, Namit was Principal at W Health Ventures, where he was part of the founding team. There, he led investments in several high-impact companies such as Wysa (AI-based mental health), BeatO (digital diabetes care), and Mylo (parenting-focused content and commerce). He also played a key role in launching 2070 Health, a venture studio supporting early-stage healthtech startups.

Previously, he was with Lok Capital, where he managed investments across healthcare, insurtech, and consumer tech. His consulting background includes roles at Alvarez & Marsal and PwC, focusing on healthcare strategy and transaction advisory.

At HealthQuad, Namit will focus on identifying high-potential growth opportunities, particularly in deep-tech areas like AI-driven healthcare. He will also help deepen relationships with founders and lead thematic investment strategies across sectors.

His appointment comes at a pivotal time as HealthQuad expands its footprint through the launch of its third fund—HealthQuad Fund III, which is targeting up to USD 200 million, with an additional USD 100 million greenshoe option. The fund will continue to harness Quadria’s global healthcare ecosystem to accelerate innovation.

Dr. Amit Varma, Co-founder of HealthQuad, stated:
“We’re thrilled to welcome Namit to our leadership team. His proven ability to scale early-stage ventures with meaningful healthcare outcomes perfectly aligns with our mission. He brings a unique blend of sectoral depth, strategic thinking, and founder empathy.”

Sunil Thakur, Co-founder of HealthQuad, added:
“Namit’s strong track record of investing in differentiated healthcare startups, coupled with his operational acumen and ecosystem understanding, makes him a valuable addition to our leadership team.”

Sharing his enthusiasm, Namit Chugh commented:
“Joining HealthQuad at this exciting juncture is a natural progression in my journey of supporting impactful healthcare innovation. I’m excited to help build scalable, tech-enabled solutions that improve access and outcomes for millions across India and beyond.”
