Healthcare artificial intelligence company Synthpop, Inc. has secured $15 million in a Series A funding round, bringing its total capital raised to approximately $23 million since inception.

The financing round was led by Ansa Capital, with participation from Defy.vc, Peterson Ventures, Storm Ventures, and strategic investor Bruce Broussard, a former healthcare CEO. Ansa Capital’s Marco DeMeireles will join Synthpop’s board of directors as part of the investment.

Synthpop’s technology combines document intelligence, payer-aware reasoning, and conversational voice-based agents into a unified platform designed to automate complex administrative functions across healthcare systems. The platform integrates with electronic health record (EHR), billing, and e-prescribe systems to manage workflows such as referrals, eligibility checks, prior authorizations, claims follow-ups, and patient access.

Synthpop’s system has processed interactions for more than two million patients and now supports integration with eight major EHR systems.

The company’s automation tools are intended to reduce administrative burdens and operational costs by compressing workflows that traditionally took significant staff time into automated processes completed in under a minute and at lower cost than equivalent human labor.

Synthpop describes its technology as part of a broader shift toward “agentic” artificial intelligence that can execute multi-step tasks end-to-end rather than merely generate text or responses.

Synthpop also recently added the team behind airt, including developers with experience contributing to Microsoft’s open-source AutoGen framework, to accelerate its development of AI workflow capabilities. The new funding is earmarked for expanding the company’s engineering and product teams, enhancing platform features, deepening integrations, and pursuing growth across additional healthcare verticals.

Synthpop was founded in 2023 and is headquartered in the United States, positioning its platform as a scalable infrastructure solution aimed at easing persistent administrative challenges in healthcare delivery.
