Gut Clinic, a healthcare startup focused on outpatient services for digestive, liver and metabolic health, has secured $1 million (about ₹9 crore) in a seed funding round backed by a strategic consortium of more than 15 investors.
The capital infusion is earmarked to expand the company’s gastro-metabolic network beyond the Delhi NCR region, strengthen clinical systems and broaden diagnostic capabilities, including services such as consultations, endoscopies, colonoscopies and advanced gastrointestinal diagnostics.
Founded in 2024 by Akshat Kumar, Gut Clinic operates an outpatient and day-care model aimed at delivering specialist care outside traditional hospital settings. The startup plans to use the funding to establish new centres in cities such as Chandigarh and in Punjab, with a longer-term goal of building a network of over 20 gastro-metabolic centres across northern India.
The financing round reflects growing investor interest in preventive healthcare, particularly in addressing lifestyle-related digestive and metabolic disorders affecting millions of people nationwide.
