Neuberg Diagnostics has entered a strategic joint venture with Star Imaging to expand integrated diagnostic centres across Maharashtra, combining cutting-edge pathology and advanced radiology services under one roof.

For over 13 years, Star Imaging has been a pioneer in introducing next-generation radiology technologies in Pune. Led by renowned radiologist Dr. Ashish Atre and a team of highly specialized, organ-specific radiologists, the organization has earned a strong reputation for high-end imaging services. Currently, Star Imaging operates state-of-the-art diagnostic centres at Deccan, Bund Garden Road, Wakad, and Baner in Pune, as well as in Akluj.

Dr. GSK Velu, Chairman and Managing Director of Neuberg Diagnostics, emphasized the significance of this collaboration: “Maharashtra is a strategic market for growth and innovation. This joint venture enables long-term investment and infrastructure expansion while promoting accessible, high-quality diagnostics. Over the next two years, we plan to launch new integrated diagnostic centres in Pune, Nashik, Nagpur, Aurangabad, and other key cities across the state.”

India faces a rising burden of chronic diseases, an increasing emphasis on preventive care, and growing complexity in clinical decision-making. Traditionally, radiology and pathology services have functioned independently, resulting in fragmented diagnostic data and delays in treatment decisions.

The integrated diagnostics model aims to address this challenge by bringing together radiology, pathology, wellness, and genomics within a single, coordinated ecosystem. This unified approach enhances diagnostic accuracy, accelerates reporting times, and enables more timely and effective clinical interventions.

In a healthcare landscape like India’s—where early detection and intervention can drastically improve outcomes—this model is particularly impactful. The Neuberg-Star Imaging partnership represents a patient-centric shift towards comprehensive diagnostics, aiming to bridge current gaps in care and support better health outcomes across the state.
