Adopting a vegan lifestyle can have profound and long-lasting benefits on both physical and mental wellbeing, according to Veganuary’s latest global survey. The Veganuary 2025 Six-Month Follow-Up Survey highlights that participants who maintained a fully vegan diet for six months reported notable improvements in mood, energy, and overall health.
The survey revealed that 58% of respondents experienced an uplift in mood, while 55% reported increased energy levels. Skin improvements were noted by 48% of participants, and 47% achieved their desired body weight changes. Overall, 59% felt their general health had improved since embracing a plant-based diet.
Importantly, Veganuary’s influence extends well beyond the initial 31-day challenge. While 32% of respondents remained fully vegan, 33% reduced their animal product intake by at least 75%, and 15% by 50% or more. Nearly all participants not fully vegan (94%) expressed interest in trying vegan again in the future, indicating the campaign’s growing global impact.
Beyond measurable health outcomes, the survey highlighted positive shifts in lifestyle and food habits. Two-thirds (67%) of participants felt more inspired in the kitchen, 52% embraced more adventurous food choices, and almost half reported making healthier and more sustainable meal decisions.
