Health Ministry Rolls Out Special Campaign 5.0 to Enhance Cleanliness and Efficiency

The Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has launched Special Campaign 5.0 to improve workplace cleanliness and reduce administrative pendency across its offices and affiliated organizations. Running from October 2 to October 31, 2025, the campaign is part of a nationwide initiative aimed at strengthening efficiency, streamlining procedures, and fostering a citizen-centric governance system.

Under the campaign, 1,454 sites have been identified for cleaning and reorganization, with a strong focus on proper disposal of e-waste and unserviceable items. This is expected to not only free up valuable office space but also generate additional revenue. In parallel, efforts will be directed towards promptly addressing long-pending public grievances and appeals, ensuring smoother and more responsive service delivery.

The ministry has also taken up an extensive review of 15,494 physical files and 3,279 e-files, alongside simplification of 11 rules and internal processes that often create procedural bottlenecks. By cutting down on unnecessary complexities and ensuring systematic record management, the campaign aims to bring greater transparency and accountability in day-to-day functioning.

Through Special Campaign 5.0, the Health Ministry has reaffirmed its commitment to good governance by promoting cleanliness, efficiency, and a more citizen-friendly approach across the healthcare administration network.
