The Union Health Ministry, in collaboration with the World Health Organization, has launched a comprehensive awareness campaign on women’s health and well‑being across the Delhi Metro network, with visual messages displayed in trains and at selected stations throughout December and January. The initiative is part of the government’s broader effort to improve health literacy among women and girls, and to promote preventive care, mental health awareness, and timely medical attention.
The campaign focuses on a wide range of topics critical to women’s health, including reproductive health, prenatal and postnatal care, nutrition, menstrual hygiene, tuberculosis awareness, mental well-being, and measures for safety and protection.
It also emphasizes digital inclusion and access to health services through government programs and mobile health platforms, highlighting initiatives aimed at bridging gaps in awareness and service delivery for women across different socio-economic backgrounds.
By using the Delhi Metro. one of the most widely used public transport networks in the capital, the government seeks to reach millions of commuters daily, ensuring that critical health messages are visible and accessible to a diverse audience.
