FUJIFILM India Strengthens Public Health at CHC Dholera with installation of DR X-Ray System

FUJIFILM India, a global leader in healthcare technology, has announced the inauguration of digital radiology X-Ray facility at Community Health Centre (CHC) in Dholera, Gujarat by the MLA of Dhandhuka, Shri Kadubhai Rupabhai Dabhi along with the Dr. R. B. Kapadiya, CDHO, Ahmedabad and Mr. Koji Wada, Managing Director, FUJIFILM India. The CSR Activity aims to provide accessible healthcare and advanced diagnostic services for the city’s growing industrial workforce and surrounding villages. The facility will serve as the first central DR X-ray hub in the region, addressing urgent healthcare gaps amid the rapid development of this flagship greenfield industrial city.

As Dholera grows into a smart industrial hub with major projects such as a mega solar park, expressway, freight rail, and proposed semiconductor plants, the speed of industrialization has moved much faster than the growth of public medical facilities. To bridge this gap, FUJIFILM India under the ambit of its CSR Mandate, has set up a facility that will give the region reliable Digital Radiology support, ensuring quick care for workers, engineers, residents, and people from 33 nearby villages.

The CHC which will host the Fujifilm Medical Centre will provide DR X-ray services for faster diagnosis, along with early screening for tuberculosis with sputum collection, and regular health camps that bring preventive care closer to the community. By adding these services to Dholera’s growth as a smart city, FUJIFILM India is ensuring that access to basic healthcare keeps pace with the region’s rapid economic and industrial progress.

Speaking on the development, Mr. Koji Wada, Managing Director, FUJIFILM India, said, “At FUJIFILM India, our purpose goes beyond technology, we aim to create an impact that strengthens communities and supports national priorities. Dholera represents the future of India’s industrial growth, and we are proud to contribute by supporting the enhancement of basic public healthcare infrastructure. With this facility, we are making advanced diagnostics accessible where they are needed most, ensuring that workers, residents, and families have reliable support as the city grows into a global manufacturing hub.”

Mr. Abhi Shekhar Singh, Vertical Head, Corporate Communications & CSR, FUJIFILM India, added, “FUJIFILM India has been engaged in CSR Activities related to public health in Gujarat for long. With our Portable DR X-Ray System, we played a pivotal role in the 100 Days intensified campaign of TB Elimination this year in 6 districts of Gujarat where MoHFW recognized Gujarat as the best-performing state in the country in the fight against TB under the 'TB Mukt Bharat Abhiyan'. Taking a cure from our winning DR Technology, the idea to create “Fujifilm Medical Centre” in Dholera was more long-term where our mission was to strengthen the CHC with a state-of-the-art DR System which becomes a blessing for people in the radius of 50 Kilometers who otherwise would have to travel far to get X-Ray done.”

With this CSR initiative, FUJIFILM India reinforces its role as an enabler of health infrastructure, ensuring that the promise of smart cities and industrial corridors also delivers on the need for accessible and preventive healthcare.
