Equitas Small Finance Bank Champions Employee Well-being with Yoga Wellness Camps in Partnership with Alyve Health and MIBL

Reinforcing its commitment to employee health and wellness, Equitas Small Finance Bank recently conducted a series of wellness-focused yoga camps at its corporate headquarters in Chennai. The initiative was carried out in collaboration with Alyve Health, one of India’s fastest-growing health-tech platforms, and Mahindra Insurance Brokers Limited (MIBL), a longstanding benefits advisor to Equitas.

MIBL has played a critical role in co-developing Equitas’s employee health strategy—going beyond conventional insurance to create a comprehensive, preventive, and personalized wellness experience delivered through the Alyve Health platform. This program integrates preventive health checkups, digital health tools, and wellness initiatives like yoga to align with Equitas’s people-first philosophy.

“At Equitas, we believe that a healthy workforce is the cornerstone of a successful organization,” said a company spokesperson. “Wellness isn’t a one-time event—it’s a continuous journey. Through thoughtfully designed initiatives like these yoga camps, we aim to equip our employees with sustainable habits that enhance their physical and mental well-being every day.”

Sushant Roy, Co-founder, COO & CBO of Alyve Health, echoed this sentiment: “Introducing yoga into employee health plans is one of the most effective ways to promote resilience and balance in today’s fast-paced work culture. At Alyve Health, we’re committed to designing customized programs that foster healthier lifestyles and deliver real outcomes. Equitas's proactive approach is a model for organizations striving to embed wellness into their DNA.”

The yoga sessions, led by certified instructors, were curated to suit a range of fitness levels. They incorporated breathing techniques, restorative poses, and mindfulness practices aimed at reducing workplace stress, improving focus, and encouraging long-term health habits.

This initiative is part of a broader health benefits plan that emphasizes both preventive care and essential medical support. By integrating yoga and mindfulness into daily routines, Equitas is empowering its teams to take charge of their health—not only when illness strikes, but as an ongoing practice of well-being.

Importantly, the sessions were conducted in a hybrid format, both on-site and virtually, ensuring wide accessibility across all employee groups. This inclusive approach reflects Equitas’s deeper commitment to consistent, equitable healthcare access for its workforce.

As more companies reassess their wellness strategies, Equitas Small Finance Bank is setting a new standard—demonstrating that building a workplace culture centered on care, balance, and health is not only achievable but vital in today’s corporate landscape.
