Colgate-Palmolive Partners Haryana Govt For Oral Health Programme For 57 Lakh Students

By Team VOH

Colgate‑Palmolive (India) Limited and the Government of Haryana have launched a major expansion of the Bright Smiles, Bright Futures® programme to deliver oral health education across the state.

The collaboration will integrate structured hygiene education for an estimated 57 lakh schoolchildren in both public and private schools, marking one of the largest preventive health education efforts in the region.

The initiative is designed to embed oral care awareness into school curricula and everyday routines. It includes age‑appropriate learning sessions led by trained facilitators, a focus on twice‑daily brushing techniques and timely toothbrush replacement, nutrition guidance and tobacco prevention messaging. Dedicated oral health boards are set to be installed in participating schools to reinforce healthy habits visually within the learning environment.

Teacher training modules will equip educators with the knowledge to sustain oral hygiene learning in classrooms, while students will receive take‑home dental kits and brushing calendars to encourage consistent care and family involvement.

The Bright Smiles, Bright Futures® programme already operates nationwide, reaching millions of children each year.

The Haryana expansion reflects a growing public‑private effort to strengthen preventive health education during formative school years, with the aim of fostering lifelong oral hygiene habits.
