CM Dhami Leads Foundation Laying Ceremony For Primary Health Centre Upgrade

By Team VOH

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami led the foundation-laying ceremony for the upgradation of a Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Tehri Garhwal, marking the start of a key health infrastructure project in the hill state. The Bhoomi Pujan, conducted as part of the ceremony, signified the commencement of the PHC’s transformation into a more advanced healthcare facility.

Alongside the health centre upgrade, Dhami inaugurated and laid the foundation for a series of development projects in the Ghansali region with a combined value of Rs 41.21 crore. These works included three completed projects worth Rs 13.43 crore and five new initiatives amounting to Rs 27.78 crore, covering improvements in other critical infrastructure.

A significant component of the day’s activities was the official launch of efforts to upgrade the Primary Health Centre at Pilkhi into a Community Health Centre, a move aimed at strengthening healthcare access and services for local residents in the area.

The development push reflects the state government’s focus on enhancing basic services and connectivity in remote regions, with infrastructure and health at the forefront of planned interventions.

Dhami’s participation in these ceremonies underscored the administration’s commitment to improving public health infrastructure and accelerating development across Uttarakhand’s hilly districts.
