Ayush Expo To Lead Global Traditional Medicine Dialogue At Second WHO Summit In New Delhi

By Team VOH

The Ministry of Ayush, in collaboration with the World Health Organization (WHO), is organizing the Ayush Expo as part of the Second WHO Global Traditional Medicine Summit from December 17 to 19, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi.

The Expo will showcase India’s Ayush systems—including Ayurveda, Yoga, Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa, and Homoeopathy—alongside global traditional medicine practices, promoting scientific exchange, policy dialogue, and innovation in evidence-informed and safe healthcare.

Highlights include the Medicinal Plants and Seeds Pavilion with nearly 40 live plants and rare seeds, the Spices of India Pavilion showcasing culinary herbs, and the Metallotherapeutics Zone demonstrating classical purification methods and bhasma preparation.

Exhibits on Dinacharya, Ritucharya, and Panchakarma will illustrate preventive care principles, seasonal regimens, and therapeutic practices. India’s Traditional Knowledge Digital Library (TKDL) will be displayed to show global initiatives for protecting traditional knowledge and preventing bio-piracy.

The Expo emphasizes innovation through the Ayush NextGen Start-ups Pavilion, featuring AI applications, predictive diagnostics, wellness devices, and digital health platforms. Interactive experiences include holographic displays, virtual reality Yoga and Panchakarma walkthroughs, and the Ayush Grid, India’s digital infrastructure supporting education, research, healthcare delivery, and global outreach. Visitors can access holistic health profiling, constitution analysis, live Yoga demonstrations, nutrition-focused exhibits, meditation spaces, and child-oriented wellness learning zones.

A dedicated WHO Zone will feature traditional medicine systems from Member States, highlighting community-based health models, Indigenous knowledge, healthy ecosystems, and nature-based solutions. The launch of the Global Traditional Medicine Library (GTML) by WHO will compile traditional medicine knowledge, research data, and evidence to support scientific collaboration, policymaking, and global visibility.

Delegates, global partners, and media are invited to engage with the Expo, reflecting India’s commitment, alongside WHO, to strengthening traditional medicine in sustainable, people-centered global health systems.
