India’s online super-specialty pharmacy MrMed is expanding its healthcare services beyond medicine delivery, strengthening its physical infrastructure and moving into allied super-specialty healthcare support as part of a broader push to improve access to critical care across the country.
The company is increasing its national footprint with on-ground operations in multiple cities and plans to introduce services that extend patient care beyond drug supply.
MrMed, which has existing operations and distribution hubs in cities including Chennai, Delhi and Bengaluru, has established a presence in Guwahati and is advancing plans to extend its physical infrastructure to additional locations to shorten fulfilment timelines and improve last-mile access for patients requiring specialised treatments.
The pharmacy platform has also developed cold-chain storage capability to support safer, faster distribution of temperature-sensitive therapies.
The expansion strategy includes a move into allied super-specialty healthcare services, aimed at supporting patients with home-based care offerings such as nurse-led infusions and pre- and post-chemotherapy support.
This initiative seeks to reduce the frequency of hospital visits for patients undergoing complex, long-term treatment cycles and to provide continuity of care outside traditional clinical settings.
MrMed operates across a wide range of critical and chronic therapy areas, including oncology, endocrinology, nephrology, immunology and rare diseases, with a focus on delivering super-specialty and temperature-sensitive medicines that are often not readily available in local pharmacies. The company works with authorised distributors of major pharmaceutical firms to source and deliver genuine therapies to patients nationwide.
