MOVIN Express, a joint venture between InterGlobe Enterprises and UPS, has announced its strategic expansion into India’s healthcare logistics sector with the launch of a dedicated vertical named MOVIN Healthcare. The new vertical marks the company’s entry into the growing market for medical‑supply transport, which is estimated to be worth between USD 5.5 billion and 7.5 billion.
MOVIN Healthcare will provide end‑to‑end logistics solutions tailored to the unique requirements of the healthcare sector, covering pharmaceuticals, medical technology (MedTech), diagnostics, laboratories, and other critical medical supplies. The services will include specialised handling for temperature‑sensitive shipments, with options for refrigerated (2–8 °C), ambient‑temperature (15–25 °C), and deep‑frozen dry‑ice (–80 to –20 °C) shipments.
This capability is designed to ensure the safe and compliant transport of vaccines, biologics, specialty medicines, clinical‑trial materials, and diagnostic samples.
The new vertical will begin operations in 50 cities during its first phase, covering both metro areas as well as Tier II and Tier III cities. MOVIN Healthcare plans to gradually expand its footprint nationwide, aiming to provide access to reliable and temperature‑controlled medical logistics even in smaller cities and remote regions where healthcare supply chains often face challenges.
MOVIN Healthcare will also offer features critical to modern healthcare logistics, including real‑time tracking of shipments through a 24×7 control tower, priority handling for urgent medical consignments, and comprehensive insurance coverage for high‑value cargo.
These services are aimed at meeting strict regulatory compliance standards while ensuring that sensitive and high‑value shipments reach their destination safely and on time.
The launch of MOVIN Healthcare aligns with the company’s broader strategy to leverage the combined expertise of UPS in global logistics and InterGlobe’s deep knowledge of the Indian market. By integrating global best practices with local market understanding, MOVIN aims to strengthen the efficiency, reliability, and reach of India’s healthcare supply chain, particularly for critical medicines, diagnostics, and MedTech products.
The expansion also reflects growing demand for high-quality healthcare logistics solutions driven by increasing pharmaceutical production, vaccine distribution, clinical research activities, and the rise of advanced diagnostics across the country.
