US-based Exo Imaging has announced plans to introduce its AI-powered portable ultrasound device in Bangladesh, aiming to transform healthcare accessibility. The innovation, already approved by the US FDA, will first be deployed in leading hospitals before expanding to rural and community health centers.
According to Exo co-founder and CTO Yusuf Haque, the device is compact, efficient, and designed to make high-quality diagnostics available even in remote areas. “Doctors and nurses will soon use it like a stethoscope,” he said.
The AI-driven ultrasound can aid in early detection of multiple health conditions, including heart disease, tuberculosis, breast cancer, lung disease, thyroid disorders, and pregnancy-related complications. Bangladesh is the first Asian country to adopt this breakthrough technology.
