Zydus Hospitals Strengthens Neurology Portfolio Through VINS Hospital Acquisition

By Team VOH

Zydus Multispecialty and Cancer Hospital, Vadodara, has acquired the Vadodara Institute of Neurological Sciences (VINS) Hospital, strengthening its presence in specialised neurological and neurosurgical care. With this acquisition, the 300-bed Zydus facility adds the 50-bed VINS centre to its network, creating a dedicated hub for neuro-care in the region.

The integration is expected to significantly enhance Zydus Hospitals’ neuroscience capabilities, enabling comprehensive diagnosis, treatment, and surgical management of complex neurological conditions. These include brain and spinal tumours, aneurysms, movement disorders, stroke, trauma, deep brain stimulation (DBS), and complete epilepsy care, including surgical interventions.

Founded over two decades ago by Dr Monish Malhotra, VINS Hospital has built a strong reputation for specialised neurological care in Vadodara. As part of the integration, several senior clinicians from VINS, including Dr Suresh Nayak, Dr Rakesh Shah, and Dr Mihir Acharya, will join Zydus Hospitals’ neuroscience team, alongside existing specialists such as Dr Chaturbhuj Rathore and Dr Bhagwati Salgotra, bringing together extensive clinical and surgical expertise.

With this acquisition, Zydus Hospitals reinforces its commitment to expanding specialised tertiary care in Gujarat, positioning Vadodara as a key centre for advanced neuroscience services while improving access to comprehensive neuro-care for patients across the region.
