Yashoda Medicity, a renowned healthcare institution known for its commitment to patient care excellence, has joined hands with Intuitive, a global leader in minimally invasive care and robotic-assisted surgery, to launch a state-of-the-art robotic-assisted surgery (RAS) training centre at its Indirapuram campus in Ghaziabad.
The centre was officially inaugurated by Harsh Malhotra, Union Minister of State for Corporate Affairs and Road Transport & Highways, in the presence of Sunil Sharma, Minister for IT and Electronics, Government of Uttar Pradesh.
This advanced training facility is designed to enhance the capabilities of surgeons and clinical teams by equipping them with the necessary skills to perform robotic-assisted procedures across a range of specialities, including urology, gynaecology, and general surgery. Through this strategic collaboration, Yashoda Medicity aims to foster greater adoption of robotic surgery in India by delivering cutting-edge training and cultivating a robust, future-ready surgical ecosystem.
The dual-bay setup of the centre allows for simultaneous training sessions or collaborative learning modules, significantly boosting training efficiency without compromising on the quality of instruction. It offers an immersive and standardised training experience with hands-on practice and consistent skill development across surgical disciplines.
Commenting on the initiative, Dr. P.N. Arora, Chairman and Managing Director of Yashoda Group of Hospitals, said, “Establishing one of India’s first dual-bay robotic-assisted surgery training centres is a testament to our commitment to adopting global best practices in healthcare. This centre will be instrumental in developing skilled surgical professionals and advancing the standard of care. Our focus remains on building centres of excellence that drive innovation and transform patient outcomes.”
