Yashoda Hospitals Hosts India’s Largest International Conference on AI in Healthcare

Yashoda Hospitals organized the country’s largest International Conference on ‘AI in Healthcare: Revolutionising Care & Enhancing Lives’ at its Hitec City campus on Saturday, drawing over 1,000 participants from India and abroad.

Delivering the keynote address, Dr. Michael D. Howell, Chief Clinical Officer at Google, emphasized the need for AI to be integrated into clinical decision-making with transparency, accountability, and empathy, always preserving the core clinician-patient relationship.

“AI is not here to replace doctors—it is here to empower them,” said Gorukanti Ravinder Rao, Founder and Chairman of Yashoda Group of Hospitals. “AI-powered robots serve as precise extensions of the human hand, eliminating tremors and responding in real time to visual cues.”

Dr. Pavan Gorukanti, Director at Yashoda Hospitals, remarked, “This conference demonstrates our commitment to connecting global innovation with real-world healthcare challenges. The true impact of AI must extend beyond urban hospitals to improve care across rural India as well.”

Highlighting the role of AI in surgical care, Dr. Chinnababu Sunkavalli, Robotic Surgical Oncologist and Clinical Director at Yashoda Hospitals Hitec City, noted that surgery is one area where AI’s benefits are already visible and immediate.

The conference was formally inaugurated by D. Sridhar Babu, Minister for IT & Industries.
