Medtronic and Symbiosis International have opened the Symbiosis Medtronic Experience Centre — dubbed “The TechKnow Verse” — in Pune. It is described as India’s first integrated facility for advanced surgical and cadaver‑based training, aimed at enhancing the skills of super‑specialist doctors and healthcare professionals. The centre offers a range of training across fields such as neurosurgery, orthopaedic surgery, spine surgery and ENT surgery.
Equipped with modern cranial, spinal, and orthopaedic technologies, the facility features robotics, surgical navigation systems and 3D imaging tailored for cadaver training. The partnership between Medtronic and Symbiosis International intends to combine experiential learning with the latest in medical technology, providing clinicians hands‑on exposure to realistic surgical scenarios before working on live patients. The initiative is positioned as a strategic move to elevate clinical proficiency, improve standards of patient care and foster a new generation of healthcare professionals trained in advanced surgical techniques.
By integrating technology‑enabled surgical training with real‑world simulation — including cadaver‑based practice — the TechKnow Verse is aimed at strengthening India’s capacity for high‑quality, specialized surgical care, and advancing the overall standard of medical education in the country.
