Marengo Asia Hospitals Launches International Institute for Neuro & Spine Care in Gurugram

Marengo Asia Hospitals has unveiled the Marengo Asia International Institute of Neuro & Spine (MAIINS) in Gurugram, setting a new benchmark in specialized neuroscience and spine care in India. This state-of-the-art institute represents a transformative step in delivering integrated, advanced care for complex neurological and spinal disorders.

At the helm of MAIINS is renowned neurologist Dr. Praveen Gupta, who has joined Marengo Asia Hospitals as Chairman of MAIINS and Chief of Clinical Strategy, Growth, and Innovation. A gold medallist from AIIMS, New Delhi, Dr. Gupta is credited with several trailblazing contributions to Indian neurology, including Asia’s first brain pacemaker for epilepsy, deep brain stimulation (DBS) for Parkinson’s disease, and stem cell therapy for multiple sclerosis.

MAIINS adopts a multidisciplinary model, bringing together neurologists, spine surgeons, psychiatrists, psychologists, pain management experts, and rehabilitation professionals to offer seamless, protocol-based care. The institute aims to address a wide spectrum of conditions through collaboration and innovation.

Speaking on the launch, Dr. Raajiv Singhal, Founding Member, Managing Director & Group CEO, Marengo Asia Hospitals, said:
"We envision creating patient-friendly centres where comprehensive and outcome-oriented care is easily accessible. The launch of MAIINS is a crucial step in building Centres of Excellence that elevate trust, expertise, and reach in neuro care. Dr. Praveen Gupta’s clinical leadership and commitment to patient-first values resonate deeply with our mission."

MAIINS is equipped with robotic-assisted spine surgery systems, advanced neuro-monitoring technology, dedicated neuro ICUs, and integrated rehabilitation units, ensuring continuity across pre-operative, operative, and post-operative care.

Outlining the institute’s vision, Dr. Praveen Gupta shared:
"With MAIINS, our goal is to merge clinical excellence with preventive care and cutting-edge infrastructure. We’re focusing on early diagnosis, holistic disease management, and integrating geriatric and mental health services into mainstream neuro care."

The institute also introduces a clinic-based funnel model to enable early detection and seamless outpatient-to-inpatient continuity. Specialized clinics focused on memory disorders, vertigo, movement disorders, and chronic neuro-pain aim to identify neurological conditions at the earliest stage and offer proactive, long-term care.

Highlighting the strategic value of the facility, Dr. Saurabh Lall, Facility Director, Marengo Asia Hospitals, Gurugram, said:
"MAIINS represents a major advancement in neuro and spine care delivery across Gurugram and the larger Delhi NCR region. Located on Golf Course Extension Road, the institute is ideally positioned to serve patients from across North India. We are also extending our community outreach through clinic-based programs in residential areas, corporate hubs, and educational institutions."

With the launch of MAIINS, Marengo Asia Hospitals reinforces its commitment to redefining specialized care and making advanced neurological and spine treatment more accessible, coordinated, and patient-centric.
