Kauvery Hospital Hosts Afib & Pacing Summit 2025 to Advance Cardiac Rhythm Care

Kauvery Hospital successfully organized the Afib & Pacing Summit 2025, a premier academic symposium that brought together cardiac electrophysiologists, cardiologists, and physicians to share expertise in managing atrial fibrillation (AFib) and advancing device therapies, including leadless pacemakers.

The summit addressed the growing burden of atrial fibrillation, the world’s most common sustained cardiac arrhythmia, which affects over 37 million people globally. AFib is linked to irregular, often rapid heartbeats that increase the risk of stroke, heart failure, and reduced quality of life. With prevalence expected to double by 2050, the sessions highlighted the urgent need for innovation in rhythm care and the pivotal role of electrophysiologists.

Over the course of the program, participants engaged in keynote lectures, live case discussions, simulator-based training, and wet lab dissections. Topics included stroke prevention, AF ablation strategies, and the expanding role of leadless pacing, along with hands-on training in single and dual chamber device implantation. Designed to bridge theory with practice, the summit equipped physicians with advanced knowledge and procedural skills to improve patient outcomes.

“The Afib & Pacing Summit showcased the evolution of rhythm management—from traditional AF approaches to cutting-edge wire-free pacing,” said Dr. Deep Chandh Raja S, Senior Consultant Cardiologist and Director of Cardiac Electrophysiology, Kauvery Hospital, Chennai. “What makes this symposium unique is its focus on translating technology into tangible benefits for patients.”

Reflecting on the hospital’s vision, Dr. Aravindan Selvaraj, Co-Founder & Executive Director, Kauvery Hospital, stated: “At Kauvery, we believe the future of cardiac care lies in combining clinical expertise with technological innovation. Hosting the Afib & Pacing Summit underscores our commitment to advancing medical education, fostering collaboration, and equipping physicians with next-generation skills.”

By hosting the Afib & Pacing Summit 2025, Kauvery Hospital has reaffirmed its role as a centre of excellence in cardiac rhythm care, dedicated to transforming arrhythmia management through innovation, education, and collaboration.
