Medtronic, a global leader in healthcare technology, has appointed Kate Benedict as Senior Vice President and President of its Acute Care & Monitoring (ACM) business. She will also join the leadership team of the company’s Medical Surgical Portfolio.

With more than 25 years in the healthcare industry, Benedict brings a diverse background in medical devices, diagnostics, pharmaceuticals, and drug delivery. She is recognized for spearheading innovations, executing strategic portfolio decisions, and delivering strong operational results and above-market growth.

Before joining Medtronic, Benedict led the global Health Solutions division at Flex and held executive positions at BD, Alcon, and Johnson & Johnson. She began her career as an auditor at KPMG, earning her CPA license.
Benedict holds an MBA in Marketing and International Business from Rutgers University and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the University of Delaware.
