Indira IVF Expands Gujarat Presence with Acquisition of Banker IVF

In its second acquisition within a fortnight, Indira IVF Hospital announced it has entered into an agreement to acquire a stake in Banker Healthcare Private Limited, an Ahmedabad-based fertility centre, for an undisclosed amount.

The acquisition further expands Indira IVF’s network across Gujarat. This follows its recent agreement to acquire a stake in Puducherry-based Creation Science IVF Private Limited, which operates Srishti Hospital. With the addition of Banker IVF, Indira IVF’s footprint in Gujarat now includes centres in Ahmedabad, Vadodara, Rajkot, Mehsana, and several other key locations, the company stated.

With over 30 years of clinical expertise, Banker IVF, led by Dr Manish Banker and his team, will continue delivering assisted reproductive technology (ART) and IVF services, ensuring continuity in patient care and clinical excellence. Additionally, Dr Banker will join Indira IVF as Chief Clinical Mentor, offering guidance, sharing clinical insights, and mentoring teams across the network.

Providing context to the development, Indira IVF cited State government data noting a 7% decline in Gujarat’s child population over the past decade, reflecting broader trends of declining birth rates. Factors such as shifting lifestyles, delayed marriages, career prioritization, and postponed childbearing have contributed to rising infertility rates, especially in urban centres.

Commenting on the development, Dr Kshitiz Murdia, Chief Executive and Whole-Time Director at Indira IVF, said, “Banker IVF brings deep clinical experience and a strong understanding of the region, which, combined with Indira IVF’s operational scale and digital capabilities, will help us enhance support for patients across Gujarat.”

Dr Manish Banker, Director of Banker IVF, added, “Our mission has always been to deliver patient-focused fertility care tailored to individual needs. This partnership with Indira IVF creates new opportunities to broaden our reach and impact.”
