Fortis Hospital Mulund Introduces 'BreastCare360' Comprehensive Breast Health Programme

By Team VOH

On World Cancer Day 2026, Fortis Hospital, Mulund inaugurated BreastCare360, a comprehensive, multidisciplinary initiative designed to provide end-to-end breast healthcare services under one roof.

The programme reflects an integrated approach to breast health, addressing both cancerous and non-cancerous breast conditions while offering clinical, reconstructive, preventive, and emotional support to patients.

BreastCare360 brings together early detection, advanced breast cancer treatment, reconstructive surgery, aesthetic procedures, and preventive care within a single, coordinated framework. The initiative is supported by advanced diagnostic capabilities, including digital mammography, 3T MRI, and genetic testing and counselling, enabling early diagnosis and personalised treatment planning.

The programme is led by a team of experienced specialists comprising Dr Raj Kapadia, Consultant – Surgical Oncology; Dr Rachana Tataria, Consultant – Reconstructive and Plastic Surgery; and Dr Sonali Maniar, Consultant – Radiology. The multidisciplinary team works collaboratively to deliver patient-centred care that focuses on both medical outcomes and overall quality of life.

Designed to support patients throughout their treatment journey, BreastCare360 integrates clinical excellence with emotional and psychological support. The initiative aims to restore not only physical health but also confidence and well-being, recognising the broader impact of breast-related conditions on patients and their families.

The services offered through BreastCare360 include comprehensive breast cancer diagnosis and treatment, encompassing early detection, surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation therapy. Advanced imaging technologies such as digital mammography and 3T MRI form a key part of the diagnostic pathway, while genetic testing and counselling services are available to assess inherited cancer risk.

Reconstructive surgery services include both immediate and delayed breast reconstruction following mastectomy, supporting patients in regaining form, function, and confidence. The programme also offers aesthetic breast procedures such as augmentation, reduction, and breast lift, addressing both cosmetic and medical needs.

Preventive care forms an important pillar of the initiative, with prophylactic mastectomies available for individuals at high genetic risk, including those with BRCA gene mutations. Additional services include nipple reconstruction to enhance aesthetic outcomes after cancer treatment and specialised male breast care for conditions such as gynecomastia and male breast cancer.

BreastCare360 is based at Fortis Hospital, Mulund, allowing patients to access the full spectrum of breast care services at a single location. With this launch, Fortis Hospital Mulund reinforces its commitment to delivering comprehensive, compassionate, and patient-centric healthcare, aligned with the growing need for specialised breast care in the fight against breast cancer.
