Rajasthan Government Rolls Out e-Swasthya Samvad For Strengthening Governance In Medical Education

By Team VOH

The Rajasthan government has launched a new digital platform called e‑Swasthya Samvad to strengthen governance, transparency and coordination in the state’s medical education and health services.

The initiative is part of efforts to modernise health service delivery through technology‑driven reforms and was introduced under the direction of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and Medical Education Minister Gajendra Singh Khimsar. The platform is designed to serve as a dedicated digital interface connecting all stakeholders involved in medical education and health services, enabling faster decision‑making and effective implementation of programmes.

e‑Swasthya Samvad will be conducted twice a week, every Tuesday and Thursday, through video conferencing. The interactions will take place in two phases, with senior officials such as principals of medical institutions, medical superintendents, principal medical officers and heads of departments participating in the first phase, followed by a broader session with faculty members, doctors, nursing staff, students and the public.

The platform will facilitate discussions on budget announcements, directives from the Chief Minister’s Office, grievance redressal through portals such as CMIS and CP‑Grams, implementation of health schemes, infrastructure projects, procurement of equipment and day‑to‑day operational issues faced by medical colleges and hospitals.

Stakeholders can submit issues and suggestions in advance through a Google form, and participation without a prior agenda will also be permitted. Decisions taken during the meetings will be recorded instantly, and concerned officials will be required to submit detailed action‑taken reports within 72 hours.

The e‑Swasthya Samvad initiative aims to improve accountability, reduce delays and strengthen coordination across all levels of the state’s medical education system, ensuring that health services implementation becomes more responsive and transparent.
