Carna Health, Siemens Healthineers Partner to Advance Global Kidney Care

Carna Health, a digital health innovator in kidney care, has entered a strategic agreement with Siemens Healthineers to accelerate adoption of its AI-enabled chronic kidney disease (CKD) platform. The collaboration will integrate Carna’s digital technology with Siemens Healthineers’ diagnostics expertise to improve early CKD detection and streamline care pathways, especially in underserved regions.

The partnership aims to simplify CKD workflows, enable faster referrals, and provide timely nephrology care — ultimately improving outcomes while reducing healthcare costs.

“By combining Carna’s AI-driven platform with Siemens Healthineers’ global diagnostics infrastructure, we’re creating a unified approach for early identification, continuous monitoring, and proactive CKD management,” said Dr. Salvatore Viscomi, CEO and Co-Founder of Carna Health.

Together, the companies are supporting large-scale screening programs, including one in Bermuda and Limbe, Cameroon, enrolling 30,000 people. The initiative uses Carna’s digital platform with Siemens’ epoc® Blood Analysis System for point-of-care eGFR testing, bringing scalable kidney care solutions to hard-to-reach populations.

Carna Health plans to screen 25 million people worldwide for CKD by 2030, with expansion into cardiometabolic diseases such as diabetes. The company is also an authorized reseller of Siemens Healthineers’ diagnostic solutions in key markets like the Philippines, Bermuda, and Cameroon, positioning it to lead digital CKD programs across global health systems.
