India, Liberia Sign Agreement To Advance Pharmacopoeia Cooperation

By Team VOH

India and Liberia have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen cooperation in the field of pharmacopoeia, marking a significant step in bilateral health partnership.

The agreement, formalised in Monrovia by India’s Ambassador to Liberia, Manoj Bihari Verma, and Liberia’s Health Minister, Dr. Louise M. Kpoto, enables Liberia to use the Indian Pharmacopoeia as a reference for its national medicine quality standards.

It aims to improve regulatory collaboration, support the development of Liberia’s pharmaceutical framework, and enhance access to safe, effective, and affordable medicines across the country.

The MoU also facilitates technical exchange, training, and knowledge-sharing between India and Liberia on drug testing methods, quality assurance, and standardisation protocols.
