RadNet Acquires Northwest Radiology, Marking First Operations In Indiana

By Team VOH

RadNet, Inc., a prominent provider of outpatient diagnostic imaging services and developer of digital health solutions, has acquired the outpatient imaging assets of Northwest Radiology Network, P.C., marking its entry into Indiana and expanding its footprint in the Midwestern United States.

The acquisition includes six multimodality outpatient imaging centres located in the greater Indianapolis area, with a concentration in Carmel, a rapidly growing community that has recently been ranked as the top Midwest city for livability by Travel & Leisure.

Founded in 1967, Northwest Radiology Network’s 18 radiologists will continue to provide contracted professional services at the six locations, ensuring continuity of care and maintaining long-standing relationships with the local physician community.

With this transaction, RadNet establishes a strategic base in the Indianapolis market, enabling the company to scale its operations and introduce AI-powered workflows, advanced clinical technologies and digital health capabilities aimed at improving diagnostic efficiency and population health outcomes across the region. The expansion aligns with RadNet’s broader strategy of shifting healthcare delivery toward earlier disease detection and preventive care.

The acquisition is expected to contribute approximately $18 million in annualised revenue to RadNet.

RadNet, Inc. is among the largest providers of freestanding, fixed-site diagnostic imaging services in the United States by number of locations and imaging revenue. The company operates a broad network of outpatient imaging centres across Arizona, California, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Maryland, New Jersey, New York and Texas. In addition to imaging services, RadNet offers radiology information technology solutions, artificial intelligence platforms under the DeepHealth brand, teleradiology services and related diagnostic imaging products. Across its operations, RadNet employs more than 12,000 team members, including technologists, clinical staff and contracted radiologists.

Northwest Radiology Network, P.C. is a physician-led outpatient diagnostic imaging practice serving the Indianapolis metropolitan area. With over five decades of experience, the practice provides a comprehensive range of imaging services, including MRI, CT, PET/CT, mammography, ultrasound, nuclear medicine, interventional radiology and diagnostic X-ray, and is recognised for its focus on patient-centred care, clinical quality and collaboration with referring providers.

The transaction represents a significant expansion milestone for RadNet while allowing Northwest Radiology to retain its physician-led model and local clinical identity, supported by access to RadNet’s national scale and advanced imaging technologies.
